Kampong Speu is one of Cambodia’s provinces which is known as a province with the most amount of palm trees in the country. Kampong Speu borders to Pursat and Kampong Chhnang to the north, Kandal to the east, Takeo to the southeast, Kampot to the south, and Koh Kong to the west. Kampong Speu is also one of the places that is famous for palm sugar and wine. Moreover, Aural mountain, the tallest mountain in Cambodia, is located in Kampong Speu too. Traveling from Phnom Penh to Kampong Speu takes 2-hour drive with the distance of 48 kilometers. For other transportation, it is only available via VIP van with the price of USD 4 to USD 5. Places to visit in Kampong Speu are Kirirom National Park, Kirirom Hillside Resort, Ampe Phnom, and Te Teuk Pus Hot Spring.
